背景:情緒智商(Emotional intelligence)是一種連結情緒和認知的個人心理特質,透過感知辨別他人情緒並且管理自身情緒,在建立人際關係上,情商能力為重要的關鍵特質,目前領導力研究之應用證明具有轉換型領導(Transformational leadership)行為的教練可增強運動員心理上內在動力,且兩者較能建立可靠的互信關係,進而提升運動表現。目的:該研究計畫主要探討臺北市立大學(University of Taipei, UT)及賓州印第安納大學(Indiana University of Pennsylvania, IUP)之學生運動員偏愛的教練領導風格,以及調查其情緒智

商能力,比較兩所大學之間的差異及相似之處,並深入討論其情緒智商與轉換型領導風格之間的關係,評估情緒調節(Mood regulation)、情感利用(Utilization of emotion)或情緒視察(Appraisal of emotion)之三種因素對運動員整體情商總分之影響。方法:本研究取得兩校之人體研究倫理委員會(IRB)審查通過後,針對兩校18歲以上學生運動員,進行線上問卷之自評情商測驗和多因素領導風格之偏好調查,UT學生運動員包含田徑、游泳、空手道、跆拳道、鐵人三項、軟網、拔河、桌球等專長,及IUP運動員包含美式足球、籃球、棒球、田徑、高爾夫球、壘球、游泳、足球、網球、草地曲棍
